Day 6 - I'm Thankful for See Jane Write!

I don't even know where to begin about this wonderful organization. I saw an event on a fellow Jane's page and I was like how in the world did I miss this event and it was local. It was an event at the Homewood Library. When I saw the post, it was perfect timing because I was at the peak moment in my blogging business of being ready to take off. But I was still a little confuse of how to do it. So, I started doing research on this organization and I told my husband, oh I have got to be a part of this. I jumped on it ASAP. I sent friend requests on Facebook and join this movement. And boy, did this give me a push! It was so motivating and so enlightening.  The best thing is, this organization is right here in Birmingham, AL. That's so beneficial to me.

On August 1st, I attended the Blog Mini-Con hosted by See Jane Write  and let's just say that was the beginning. To really make a long story short, I met the Founder of the organization Javacia Harris Bowser, who also has a personal blog titled, The Writeous Babe Project  as well as networked with so many other inspiring ladies. The topics, discussion, atmosphere, food, and networking was awesome. I got great advice. I took notes like never before. I went out that day and purchased an organizer that I call my "blogging bible" and it goes everywhere with me. Why? Becuase I never know where I would be when a blogging post idea comes to and I want to be prepared for it.  See, that was one of the things I learned at the conference.

Since the Mini-Con, I have gotten a new logo, business cards, preparing to host my first live event, attend other bloggers events, network, and so much more. All of these things were on my list for 2016 because I wanted to prepare for the shift in becoming better. Little did I know, it was happening right at that very moment of me being at the conference. That was the door opener right there and that is all that I needed.  So every time I see Javacia or get a chance to talk to her, I call her my "Blogging Mom" because little does she know, she motivated me to become better and truly be a #BossLady. It's such a wonderful feeling. This post can go on and on, but I won't today. But stay tuned for many posts to come to pick up where I left off here. :-)

So I am proud to say that I am a "Jane" and I am Thankful for Javacia Harris Bowser, Founder of See Jane Write.
