Guess who's back...ME!!!

Hello, hello, hello!  It’s been some months since I have been here but I am making my way back into it.  Just been a little busy and a little ill but to God be the Glory, I’m still alive!!!  J

Well, well, well…my favorite time of the year is finally here!!  Holiday season!  The pumpkin spice, vanilla bean, apple crisp, pinecone scents just light up the world and make everything seem ok! I love it! <3  I have done a little fall decoration in my home, not much. But I am glad to say that I did some.  I put some fall leaves, pumpkins, and pumpkin spice candles over the mantle above the fire place and I made a fall monogrammed wreath.  It was so much fun in doing them and it made me feel special because I put a little personal touch on my home. A little special touch of life brings a lot to a home.  Being married with a family we sometimes don’t have the “extra time” to do what we really want to our homes because we are never there and just don’t have the time.  Well, I made the time.  If you don’t, then who will????  It’s not a lot but it’s something.

I love this time of the year because it makes the world calm down a lot and make it a better place.  Think about it: Winter-the beginning of the year…setting goals for the remaining of the year. Spring-getting adjusted to the warm seasons approaching and kids are busy to get ready to get out of school. Summer-to hot and traveling and bar-b-ques. Fall-preparing for the holiday season and shorter days/longer nights…time to settle in!  Now that is my personal interpretation of the seasons because that is how my life is.  But you would have to think about it, that is a good one…lol!

Wives, it’s time to get the house cleaned out; recipes out of the recipe box; holiday shopping.  Now if anybody has a husband like mine, he is not interested in this stuff. This is his favorite time of the year also.  Why????  Hunting Season!!! YES! My husband is a hunter.  If he could do it everyday, all day, he would. So while he is out in the woods finding meat to bring home, lol, all I ask of him is to make sure there is money in the account for me to do something.  Sometimes, I don’t even go any where because I just like to be at peace in my home.  Curled up in a chair with a blanket and scented candles going and something good on TV (preferably on HGTV, Food Network, OWNHD, and of course, Lifetime).  I gather a lot of great ideas from HGTV and Food Network for my own home and of course my favorite website, PINTEREST!! OMG…I am so addicted to pinterest and blogging. It’s a disease but a good one ha ha!

Well, I have to get some work done but I promise I will post more blog posts and recipes.  Check out my next post for a recipe for mozzarella garlic cheese bread!!! It’s so good! Be Blessed wives and make your home, your home!
